Public Hearing on Farmers Field

Be there to show your support!

In July, more than 100 L.A. building trades, hotel and entertainment industry workers hung doorhangers in Mar Vista to support good jobs and Farmers Field. Pictured above are members of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 105 with Maria Elena Durazo, head of L.A. Labor.

The momentum behind Farmers Field continues to build.  Earlier this month, the Los Angeles City Council unanimously endorsed Farmers Field and the proposed renovation of the Convention Center.

But there is more work to be done.

The next step is to work with the California State Legislature on passing legislation that would protect Farmers Field from frivolous lawsuits that could delay the project or kill it entirely.

This Friday there will be a public hearing to discuss Farmers Field before state legislators.  This will likely be the only public hearing held in Los Angeles to discuss the issue before the Legislature acts on it.

We are packing the hearing to show our support. Join us this Friday!
