After
almost a decade without a voice at our nation’s airports, 40,000
Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) voted for union representation
with the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), AFL-CIO.

“That’s
right! Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves and work even harder make
the changes for all TSA Officers. We need this. We deserve this. It’s
been a long time coming. We will no longer tolerate being treated as the
stepchild in Homeland Security!” celebrated Raul Samudio, a TSO at LAX.
“I’ve been here since the beginning in 2002. Now we’ve got the power
and the voice to make it better for all of our brothers and sisters!”

In Los Angeles County, nearly 3,000 TSOs at LAX, Burbank, and Long Beach airports join L.A. Labor.
