County engineers, technicians, appraisers and planners educate voters to vote No on Prop. 32!
The California Association of Professional Employees (CAPE) is going all out to defeat Prop. 32 on November 6. CAPE represents thousands of county engineers, technicians, appraisers and planners. Every CAPE-represented employee is being approached at work and asked to help defeat Proposition 32 by filling-out a NO on PROP. 32 commitment card. So far, hundreds of cards have been turned in.
On Tuesday, September 11, CAPE held its first “No on Prop. 32″ phonebank. County professionals are calling voters as part of the L.A. County Federation of Labor’s volunteer phonebank program. They will hold a weekly phonebank at CAPE until the end of October.
“We’ll be working hard in the coming months to educate CAPE-represented employees about the dangers of the “Special Exemptions Act”. Please tell your friends and family that it is actually just a veiled attempt to dismantle the rights and protections of hard-working Californians. We need all CAPE-represented employees [and all California workers] to vote “NO” on this deceptive ballot measure in November 2012,” said Carlos Clayton, president of CAPE.
If a union has more than 10 volunteers or more to make calls to defeat Prop. 32, the L.A. County Fed will deliver the phonebank to you!
