RAUL SANCHEZ SOLIS, 88, was born on Feb. 27, 1924 in Tucson, Arizona. He was a long time resident of La Puente, CA. He was married to Juana Solis for 58 years. He is survived by his wife and 7 children: Irma, Raul Jr., Hilda, Victor, Beatriz, Anna, Leticia and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. He enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays with all his family and friends. He was a union leader with the Teamsters. He was a devoted religious man and enjoyed the outdoors, loved spending times at Azusa Canyon over the years with his family and grandchildren. He touched so many lives and was a good example for those who knew him. He was well versed in current political affairs, a modern man for his time. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Surprisingly, he met great leaders such as the late Senator Ted Kennedy and President Barack Obama. A humble man with a powerful conviction for social justice.
