The musicians who provide the fantastic music for the hit AMC TV show ‘Mad Men’ recently joined the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) and will now receive fair wages, health care and a secure retirement.

“[The 'Mad Men'] musicians will be getting something else that was overdue – respect, and an acknowledgement of the dignity accorded to professional musicians,” said Marc Sazer, President of the Recording Musicans Association, part of AFM.

The AFM plans on continuing to organize non-union productions to advance the dignity and rights of professional musicians.
